KAWARTHA LAKES-A 52-year-old Lindsay woman is facing charges following a minor collision in Lindsay.
Police say on Thursday July 2nd 2026 at approximately 4:50pm Kawartha Lakes Police Service officers were on general patrol when they came across a minor motor vehicle collision in the area of Sussex Street and Kent Street in Lindsay. Â Further investigation revealed that one of the drivers as allegedly impaired. Â The driver was subsequently arrested and she was charged with the following offences:
- Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Driving while under suspension
- Fail to surrender Insurance card
In addition to the charges the driver received a 90 -day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7-days.
The accused will all appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
