Province Celebrates Eighteen Recipients With The Ontario Senior Achievement Award

ONTARIO-Kathy Clulow is one of 18 recipients of The Ontario Senior Achievement Award.

Clulow is described as a steadfast leader in Uxbridge, dedicated to strengthening the community and enhancing quality of life, especially for seniors. She has revitalized clubs, committees, and community groups, ensuring they not only return but thrive. Through her work with the Age Friendly Advisory Committee, the Uxbridge Seniors Club, the Uxbridge Probus Club, and 100 Women Who Care, she provides invaluable leadership and insight. When she sees a gap, she steps forward, taking on key roles. After COVID‑19, she rebuilt community engagement, including reviving 100 Women Who Care, which has raised over $100,000. Kathy remains a tireless advocate for inclusiveness and community well‑being.

The Ontario government is celebrating 18 exceptional seniors receiving the 2025 Ontario Senior Achievement Award for outstanding contributions to the province and their communities. The 2025 recipients have made lasting impacts through community leadership, public service, charitable fundraising and volunteerism around the province as well as internationally.

“It is my great pleasure to recognize 18 remarkable Ontario seniors whose generosity, leadership, and commitment to service make a difference in communities across the province,” said the Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. “Through their contributions, these individuals strengthen the bonds that unite us and help create a more vibrant, compassionate, and inclusive Ontario for all.”

Dennis Bayley is also a recipient this year. Officials say Bayley has demonstrated exceptional, sustained service within and beyond his community for many years, supported by his wife of 66 years, Patricia. He has helped address physician shortages in Scugog, strengthened the Port Perry Lawn Bowling Club through sponsorship and district representation, and earned three Paul Harris Fellowships as a dedicated Rotarian and former District 7070 Literacy Chair. Over the past decade, he has organized annual gifts of hand-knitted clothing for students in a remote Indigenous fly-in school, coordinating partnerships and transportation. He also educates community leaders on the health impacts of emissions. At 90, Dennis continues to give generously.

The Ontario Senior Achievement Award recognizes individuals who are making a meaningful difference in the lives and well-being of Ontarians of all ages through community service and humanitarian efforts. This year’s recipients have made lasting contributions to their communities by leading cultural, artistic, educational and health-care initiatives that support advocacy and improve the lives of others.

“These 18 recipients represent the very best of Ontario. Through their leadership, compassion and unwavering commitment to helping others, they have made a lasting impact in their communities and improved the lives of countless seniors across the province,” said Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility. “Their tireless and selfless generosity is truly inspiring, and on behalf of all Ontarians, I congratulate them on receiving the Ontario Senior Achievement Award.”

The Ontario Senior Achievement Award was created in 1986 to recognize outstanding seniors who, after the age of 65, have made significant contributions to their communities.
