Tamara, a teaching assistant and mother of one, enjoys playing a variety of INSTANT games with OLG, including PLINKO, CASH FOR LIFE, and LUCKY LINES. Now, she’s excited to be celebrating her first big win.
The 48-year-old said she was at home when she checked her ticket using the OLG app on her phone. “At first, I thought it was a mistake,” she recalled during her visit to the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her winnings. “I immediately took a screenshot and sent it to my mom. I couldn’t wait for her to reply, so I called her right away.”
With shaky hands, Tamara asked her mom to take a look at the picture she sent. “Through tears of joy, I asked, ‘Is this for real?’ My mom was so happy for me. I also shared the news with my dad and daughter, and they were both thrilled.”
When asked what it feels like to win big, Tamara said, “This is euphoric! It’s an out-of-body experience. I dreamed I’d come down to the OLG Prize Centre someday to have my picture taken with a big cheque. Now, it’s happening, and I just can’t believe it at all!”
With her windfall, Tamara plans to invest for the future, embark on a cruise with her daughter, and take her mom to a travel destination of her choosing.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Clonsilla Avenue in Peterborough.
