HALIBURTON HIGHLANDS-The Haliburton Highlands OPP is advising residents of flooding in the area around the Gull River downtown Minden.
The areas of Invergordon Avenue, Water Street, Anson Street, and McKnight Drive are impassable in some areas due to water pooling on the roadway. Local signage has been placed to advise of closures. Please avoid these area when possible and proceed with caution near water.
The Township of Minden Hills has sandbags available at the Minden Curing Club for those who need them.
“We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who is working hard to help those who need it in our community during the flooding.” said police.
