KAWARTHA LAKES-A school bus with five kids on board was involved in a three vehicle crash on Wednesday morning.
Police say just before 9am a minivan that had stopped on County Road 8 to make a left turn was rear‑ended by a school bus. Moments later, a transport truck struck the back of the bus, pushing it further into the minivan.
Five students were on board the school bus at the time. Paramedics assessed all students and drivers on scene, and no injuries were reported.
Road conditions in the area were described as snow‑covered and poor at the time of the collision according to police. There’s no word on charges.
County Road 8 was partially blocked while first responders attended the scene. Police collected all required information and confirmed the incident was property damage only.
