NORTHUMBERLAND-The Northumberland OPP is investigating a death in the Municipality of Port Hope.
On February 19, 2026, at approximately 5:00 a.m., officers were called to a residence in the area of County Road 65 and 7th Line where one person was located deceased.
Police say preliminary information suggests this is an isolated incident, with no signs of a broader threat. Police continue to investigate and are actively monitoring the situation.
Residents in the area can expect to see an increased police presence as officers continue the investigation.
