HALIBURTON HIGHLANDS-Haliburton Highlands OPP is giving youth interest in policing a first had look at the profession.
This interactive program is open to students in Grades 9-12 who reside in the Haliburton Highlands area and are interested in learning more about a career in policing. Participants will gain hands-on insight into a variety of policing areas, including general patrol duties, major criminal investigations, canine services, emergency response, forensic identification, and impaired driving investigations.
The academy will be hosted at the Haliburton Highlands OPP Detachment and will run on Wednesday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., starting March 25, 2026, and concluding April 29, 2026.

Applications are available at the Haliburton Highlands OPP Detachment or at the front desk of Haliburton Highlands Secondary School. Applications can be submitted at either location.
