NORTHUMBERLAND-Northumberland OPP has charged two individuals following a traffic stop in Campbellford.
On January 15, 2025, at around 2:50 p.m., while on patrol, OPP attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by a prohibited driver. Police say both motorist and passenger who were wanted, fled on foot from police and were shortly taken into custody by officers with assistance from members of the Peterborough-Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).
A search yielded a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and ammunition according to police.
45-year-old Jeremy Richardson of no fixed address, has been charged with:
- Â Â Â Â Â Â Flight from peace officer
- Â Â Â Â Â Â Fail to comply with probation order – two counts
- Â Â Â Â Â Â Operation while prohibited
Jennifer Bridgesm also 45 and of no fixed address, has been charged with:
- Â Â Â Â Â Â Possession of Schedule I substance – Methamphetamine
- Â Â Â Â Â Â Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Â Â Â Â Â Â Fail to comply with probation order
Both accused were held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg. The vehicle has been impounded for 45 days.
