Woodville Woman With Several Children In The Car Charged With Impaired Driving

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police received a 9-1-1 call for a report of an impaired driver in the area of King Street in Lindsay on August 23, 2025 at 2:37am.

Patrol officers quickly located the vehicle occupied by a female driver and several children.  A traffic stop was conducted on William Street North where an impaired driving investigation commenced.  Police say officers formed grounds to believe that the driver was impaired by alcohol who was placed under arrest.  The investigation also revealed that the accused was in breach of release conditions along with several provincial offences.

A 34-year-old woman from Woodville was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Fail to Comply with undertaking x 2

The vehicle was impounded and the accused driver’s licence was suspended for 90- days.  She was released to a future court date.
