KAWARTHA LAKES-David Mark of Lindsay has $170,346.30 to put toward his dreams after winning a LOTTO MAX second prize in the December 20, 2024 draw.
David, 51, has been playing the lottery with OLG on and off for the past 20 years. He enjoys playing LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49, typically choosing whichever jackpot is higher. David uses OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections and always adds ENCORE to his tickets. He’s now delighted to share the story of his first big win!
“I just randomly bought this ticket one day,” David recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings. “After the draw date, I kept receiving emails from OLG telling me I’d won a prize, but I didn’t think they were real,” he chuckled. “A few months later, a representative from OLG called me to tell me I’d won big. I was shocked and so excited.”
David shared the wonderful news with his wife. “At first, she couldn’t believe it; once she did, she was very excited,” he said.
With his windfall, David plans to pay off bills, add to his savings, and purchase a jet ski for an upcoming trip.
“It still doesn’t feel real!” he said with a smile. “Being a winner feels really good.”
