TRENT LAKES-Officers from the Peterborough County OPP charged an individual with assault and impaired driving after receiving a call regarding a reported road rage incident.
On May 31, 2025, shortly after 9:00am officers were dispatched to a report of a fight between two individuals at an intersection on Buckhorn Road. Officers attended and spoke with the first drivers. One driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment. The accused provided samples of their breath registering over twice the legal limit according to police.
39-year-old Brandon Roach of Buckhorn was arrested and charged with;
·      Operation while impaired
·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
·      Assault
·      Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90-days, their vehicle impounded for seven days and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on July 8, 2025.
