PETERBOROUGH-An Oakville resident is facing charges after a single vehicle crash in Peterborough County.
On May 17, 2025, shortly after 7:00pm, Peterborough County OPP Officers were dispatched to a report of a collision that took place on County Road 6 in Douro-Dummer Township. Officers were informed that a vehicle had entered the ditch, and another vehicle had arrived and was providing the driver transportation according to police. A description of both the driver and the vehicle were provided.
A short while later, OPP officers located the driver and after a short conversation the driver was arrested.
Mitchell Holden, aged 29 of Oakville, ON., was arrested and charged with;
·      Operation while impaired
·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
·      Fail to report accident
·      Fail to remain
·      Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on June 24, 2025
