Impaired Driving Related Charges Laid After Driver Allegedly Cutoff From Alcohol Service At Local Establishment

KAWARTHA LAKES- The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP entered into an impaired driving investigation after receiving information about a possible impaired driver.

On Monday May 19, 2025 at approximately 9:15 pm officers responded to reports regarding a motor vehicle departing a local establishment after being cutoff from service of alcohol. A traffic stop was conducted in Fenelon Township on Highway 35 and the driver was arrested and charged.

Daniel Cisneros, 31-year-old of Whitby, was charged with:

  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Lawful Demand
  • Operation while Prohibited under the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days and drivers license was suspended for 90 days.
