Employee Assaulted During Attempted Robbery At Business In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-An employee was tackled and assaulted during an attempted robbery in Lindsay.

On May 14th 2025, at 4:14pm police were called to a robbery in progress at a business on Kent Street West in Lindsay.  Store employees observed a female suspect concealing items in a large tote bag, and attempting to exit the store.  The victim confronted the suspect, who was then tackled and assaulted according to police.   

The suspect exited the store and fled on foot with the stolen items. Within minutes responding officers located the suspect in the area and placed her under arrest.

A 33-year-old woman from Lindsay was charged with:

  • Robbery with theft
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance

The stolen items were recovered and the accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
