PETERBOROUGH-A 28-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Thursday evening.
At approximately 5:30pm on March 27, 2025, officers were called to a residence and learned that over the past two days there had been several verbal disputes between a man and a woman that had escalated resulting in the woman being verbally threatened, struck, having a knife held to her throat and choked according to police. There was also damage to walls in the residence.
As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – Spousal
- Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke
- Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm-Spousal
- Assault with a Weapon – Spousal
- Mischief – Domestic
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, March 28, 2025.
