KAWARTHA LAKES-People living in a quiet residential neighbourhood were asked to stay inside this afternoon as the OPP investigated a weapons call.
A number of police officers descended on the home on Hillview Drive in Bobcaygeon in response to a dispute. Police say officers were then told there may be a weapon involved. Bobcaygeon Public School was place on a hold a secure and some homes were evacuated.
All residents have been cleared to return home. Officers remain on the scene investigating but say there is no threat to public safety.
There’s not word on charges at this time.
