KAWARTHA LAKES-A fire has destroyed a home near Lindsay.
It happened this afternoon on Sunrise Crescent near Ken Reid Park in Lindsay. A number of fire crews responded to the call along with police. The fire department says no one was home at the time. The family of three lost everything in the fire. Neighbours told Kawartha 411 the couple put their child on the bus this morning and then went out for the day.
Damage is estimated to be more than $500,000. No cause has yet been determined.
No one was injured.
