Police Looking For Shoplifting Suspect

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP is seeking the public’s assistance to help identify a shoplifter.

On February 18, 2025, Peterborough County OPP received a call from an employee at a business located at Fowlers Corners in Selwyn Township. The caller advised that an individual had entered the store at approximately 9:15pm and proceeded to take three bottles of alcohol, leaving the store without making any effort to pay for them. The cost of the items taken was in excess of $200.

The individual was identified as a male wearing a green jacket, blue work pants with reflective bands, brown boots, black hat, and balaclava. The individual was dropped off at the store in a black SUV which parked away from entrance and then picked them up on exit from the store.

Investigators are looking to identify the individuals responsible for the theft and ask that anyone that may be able to provide assistance, reach out to the Peterborough County OPP.
