PETERBOROUGH-A 41-year-old Marmora man is facing charges after a traffic stop early Monday morning.
At approximately 2:45am on February 17, 2025, officers on general patrol conducted a traffic stop in the Lansdowne Street and Aylmer Street area. Officers say they noticed several Highway Traffic Act infractions and during a further search of the vehicle officers located and seized according to police:
- 13. 6 grams of Fentanyl
- 126 Pills
- 50 grams of suspected cocaine
- Drug paraphernalia
As a result, a 41-year-old Marmora man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
- Insecure load (Highway Traffic Act)
- Possess more than one licence (Highway Traffic Act)
- Obstruct plate (Highway Traffic Act)
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available (Cannabis Control Act)
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court April 1, 2025.
