Municipal Hours Of Operation For Family Day Monday!

KAWARTHA LAKES-These are the changes to the City’s hours of operation and service schedules on Monday February 17, 2025 (Family Day).

Administration Offices
All administrative offices and Municipal Service Centres are closed on Monday February 17. Municipal Service Centres will return to regular business hours on Tuesday February 18.

Waste and Recycling
All landfills will be closed on Monday February 17.

Please be advised that for the week of February 17, all curbside collection will take place one day later than your normal collection day:

  • Monday February 17 curbside collection will be on Tuesday February 18
  • Tuesday February 18 curbside collection will be on Wednesday February 19
  • Wednesday February 19 curbside collection will be on Thursday February 20
  • Thursday February 20 curbside collection will be on Friday February 21

*New: If your household is included in the Organics Program, your regular organics pickup will be moving from Friday to Saturday February 22. To avoid any delays, please be sure to have your rollout cart to the curb by 7am.

Public Library
All library branches will be closed on Monday February 17, with regular operating hours returning on Tuesday February 18.

Lindsay Transit
There will be no Lindsay Transit or LIMO Specialized Transit service on Monday February 17.

Regular service will return on Tuesday February 18.

Parks and Recreation
The Lindsay Recreation Complex will be open from 8am to 4pm on Family Day with a variety of programs being offered. All other Parks and Recreation facilities are closed on Monday February 17, 2025 and no programs will be running.

The Lindsay Recreation Complex will be offering a modified schedule including Skates, Swims and Fitness programming. To view the schedule and register, please visit our Online Program Registration website.
