PETERBOROUGH-The Peterborough County OPP , MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Kawartha Lakes & Area chapter, and the Peterborough Police Service (PPS) will be kicking off the Annual Festive R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) campaign for Peterborough and Peterborough County on Thursday November 21.
The Festive R.I.D.E. program runs from Thursday November 21, 2024, through Wednesday January 1, 2025. The Festive R.I.D.E. runs parallel with MADD’s Project Red Ribbon which runs from November 1, 2024, to January 1, 2025.
The Peterborough County OPP is reminding motorists to plan ahead when consuming alcohol. Use a designated driver, cab, public transit, or stay overnight. Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impact your ability to make sound judgements.
