Traffic Stop For Speeding On Pigeon Lake Road Results In Drug Charges For Three People

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP has charged three people with drug offences after a traffic stop for speeding on November 18, 2024.

An officer on patrol reported observing a motor vehicle speeding southbound on Pigeon Lake Road at 2:45pm. A traffic stop was conducted and police say the driver and two passengers were arrested and charged with Criminal Code, Cannabis Control Act and Highway Traffic Act offences.

30year-old Rhianna Whitman-Davis of Peterborough, was charged with:

  • Speeding 1-49km/h over posted limit
  • Drive Vehicle or Boat with Cannabis Readily Available
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

35-year-old Tayler Hancock of Peterborough was charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

32-year-old Dylan Kemp of Fraserville was charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
