Help Fill The Boot For Muscular Dystrophy At Sunday’s Santa Claus Parade In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-It’s time to loosen the load of all that spare change and for a good cause.

City Of Kawartha Lakes Station 1 FireFighters will again be holding a boot drive and collecting spare change during the Santa Claus Parade in Lindsay this Sunday.

They are collecting money for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

For more than 67 years, Fire Fighters across Canada have been enduring partners and supporters of Muscular Dystrophy Canada (MDC) and Canadians affected by neuromuscular disorders. Fire Fighters have stood beside MDC since the beginning. More than 600 Fire Departments and Associations across Canada raise over $3 million annually in support of MDC. Since 1954, Fire Fighters have raised nearly $100 million and have made a huge difference for the entire Canadian neuromuscular community.

Locally they have raised approximately $75,000 over the years.

The Lindsay Santa Claus Parade is on Sunday, November 17 starting at 2 pm in downtown Lindsay. This year’s parade theme – Holiday on the Farm- welcomes the community to highlight local agriculture and holiday traditions.

Come with your pockets full and help fill the boot!
