KAWARTHA LAKES-The exterior lights at City Hall will shine green to honour Show Your 4-H Colours Day today. This annual celebration recognizes the incredible contributions of 4-H members, leaders, and alumni across Canada, taking place on the first Wednesday of November.
People from all over the country will don their favorite 4-H colors today, whether online or in person, to celebrate the positive impact of the 4-H movement.
Show Your 4-H Colours Day is all about spreading awareness of the 4-H program and highlighting the amazing work young people are doing in their communities. Locally, the Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton 4-H Association thrives thanks to dedicated volunteers, many of whom were involved in 4-H during their youth. They create fun and engaging clubs where young people can develop valuable skills and knowledge. You don’t need a rural background to get involved—everyone is welcome to explore the opportunities!
