Police Investigating Home Invasion In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is looking for three suspects after a home invasion reported late Friday night. 

At approximately 11:40pm on Friday August 9, 2024, police received a call to Durham Street East address for unknown trouble after three individuals were observed fleeing a residence.  Police responded and say officers learned that three individuals forced their way into the residence. One of the individuals was brandishing an expandable baton and physically assaulted an occupant, no injuries were reported according to police. Another individual was reportedly armed with a handgun.  After confronting the occupants, the individuals stole a quantity of cash, cell phones and miscellaneous items. The suspects fled eastbound on foot in the direction of Nayoro Park in Lindsay. Police searched the area with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Emergency Response Team members and Canine Unit but we unable to locate the suspect. All three suspected were described as wearing, all black clothing with ski masks covering their faces. 

Police gathered evidence from the scene, video surveillance is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. Investigators do not believe this is a random act.
