KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Tim Hortons on Mount Hope Street Lindsay on Sunday June 9th, 2024 at approximately 4:40pm.
A vehicle in the area was subsequently stopped and police say further investigation revealed that there were drugs in the vehicle. As a result, the lone occupant a 33-year-old female from Peterborough was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking -Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking -Opioid (Other than heroin)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on July 18th, 2024.
