SIU Investigating After Woman Falls From Third-Floor Balcony In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Special Investigations Unit (SIU)is investigating the circumstances after a woman was seriously injured in a fall from a third-floor balcony in Lindsay yesterday.

The SIU told Kawartha 411 News that preliminary information suggests that on June 6 at 3:30 p.m., Kawartha Lakes Police Service officers went to an apartment on William Street North near Bond Street to arrest the woman for warrants.

The woman fell from the balcony to the ground below. EMS was called and she was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.

Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU)  was contacted and they are investigating the incident.

“Kawartha Lakes Police Service has no comment at this time as the SIU is investigating,” said Brendan Johnston, KLPS.
