Free Workshop: Taking Care Of Your Antique Firearms With The Royal Canadian Mounted Police

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Curatorial and Cultural Services divisions have partnered to offer quarterly virtual and in-person learning opportunities on a variety of heritage topics.

The goal of Connections and Conversations is to bring people and organizations together in support of the museum/heritage field and society at-large by promoting collaboration, professional networking and educational development. The series will be geared towards those working and volunteering in the heritage sector.

The second topic in the series is:

Taking Care of Your Antique Firearms

Co-hosted with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, this workshop is suitable for staff, volunteers and board members working with antique firearms as part of their collections. You will be guided through what resources are available to help assist you with the laws, care, storage and display of antique firearms in heritage collections.

  • Care and conservation of antique firearms

*We do not permit anyone to bring firearms from their heritage collections to this talk, antique or non-antique.
