KAWARTHA LAKES-Krown Rust Protection is sudsing up some good clean fun for a great cause.
The annual Wash for a Wish Charity Car Wash is scheduled for June 15th with participating locations across Canada, including Lindsay and Haliburton.
100% of the proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation helping families by granting a wish to a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. The cost is $10 but the benefits are priceless.
“It is a fantastic feeling to give back to our community and be able to put a smile on a child’s face that has been or is going through so much.” Adam Moxley, Owner of Krown Rust Control Lindsay told Kawartha 411 News.
Krown Lindsay raised $3,000 over the last few years and $100,000 was raised across Canada in 2023. Â Officials are hoping to top that this year.
The event runs from 8 am to 1 pm at 10 Willowdale Court in Lindsay, on the corner of Highway 7 and 35 beside the Horse and Hound and the Haliburton location at 140 Industrial Park Road.
