Police Looking For Information After Crash Involving Truck And Five Motorcycles On County Road 503

KAWARTHA LAKES-The OPP is looking for dash cam video or surveillance footage after a multiple-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and five motorcycles on May 26 at 11:30 am.

While travelling eastbound on County Road 503, a pickup truck is alleged to have passed five motorcycles and struck the lead motorcycle, causing a collision involving all vehicles. The OPP, Fire, and EMS attended the scene.

Three motorcycle drivers sustained serious injuries. One individual was immediately transported to a trauma centre in Toronto, and two individuals were airlifted from the local hospital to the trauma centre by ORNGE Air. All three were reported to be in stable condition later that day according to police.

County Road 503 was closed in both directions between Hobbits Lane and Bacon Road in Furnace Falls while Central Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) processed the scene.

The investigation is ongoing. The OPP is requesting that if anyone has any information, dash cam or surveillance footage that may assist investigators, to please call Haliburton Highlands OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
