ONTARIO-Three people have been charged in connection with an investigation into illegal activity at a casino in Pickering.
On May 4, 2024, members of the IEB, attached to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), initiated an investigation into allegations of a table games dealer in collusion with patrons at the casino.
As a result of the investigation, three people have been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code.
60-year-old Amadeo Rojas of Scarborough has been charged with criminal breach of trust – two counts, Cheat at play – two counts and Fraud over $5,000 – two counts.
66-year-old Noel Sarsonas of Scarborough, and 33-year-old Jeffery Paradinis of Pickering, have been charged with cheat at play and fraud over $5,000.
The accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Oshawa on a later date.
The investigation is ongoing.
