Peterborough Public Health Issues Alert After Eight Drug Poisonings In One Day

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough Public Health issued an alert following a trigger of the Early Warning Surveillance System after 8 drug poisonings were observed on Friday.

Officials say two substances are being sold as “Down” which tested positive for benzos and fentanyl. They are suspected to contain the regulated sedative Bromazolam.

They are light yellow and pink in colour OR light green in colour with heavy and immediate sedative effects.

PPH says Naloxone cannot reverse the effects of sedatives, “but it can’t hurt”! Use naloxone if you suspect a drug poisoning!
