KAWARTHA LAKES-A driver is facing multiple charges after being stopped by police this morning.
A Kawartha Lakes Police Service Officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area of a school zone. Police say the officer stopped a vehicle which was clocked at 103km/hr in a posted 40km/hr school zone.
The driver was charged with stunt driving, driving with no insurance, no licence and no validated permit. The driver also receives an automatic 30-day driver’s licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impoundment. Upon conviction, the fine is a minimum $2,000 and a maximum of $10,000
