Campbellford Man Charged With Impaired Driving After Being Stopped At RIDE Program In Bancroft

KAWARTHAS-The Bancroft OPP charged a driver while conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) program on April 27th.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m., officers stop a vehicle while conducting a R.I.D.E. in the town of Bancroft. The investigation resulted in the driver being arrested.

33-year-old Mitchell Lyons from Campbellford has been charged with Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code, Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), Operation while impaired – alcohol and Fail to comply with probation order.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on May 14, 2024.
