KAWARTHA LAKES-A 57-year-old Lindsay woman is in hot water after police say she was driving while three times over the legal alcohol limit.
On Wednesday April 24th, 2024 at approximately 10:30pm a Kawartha Lakes Police Service officer reported observing a vehicle being driven in an aggressive manner in the downtown area of Lindsay. The officer conducted a traffic stop. Police say the driver was arrested and later it was determined that she was three times over the legal limit. The driver was subsequently charged with the following offences:
- Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Improper left turn
- Fail to surrender insurance card
In addition to the charges, the driver received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7-days.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on June 6th, 2024.
