Norland Resident Facing Firearms Charges After Traffic Stop In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police Service conducted a traffic stop in Lindsay at approximately 5:00am on Sunday April 21 which revealed that there was a firearm in the vehicle according to police.

As a result of the investigation 41-year-old Brandon Watson of Norland was charged with the following offences:

  • Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Red Light – fail to stop

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at 440 Kent St W in Lindsay on May 30th 2024.
