Stolen Vehicle Investigation In Lindsay Results In Numerous Drug Charges

KAWARTHA LAKES-Officers with Kawartha Lakes Police Service were conducting property checks in the area of Lindsay Street North in Lindsay on Monday, March 25th, 2024 at approximately 9:30pm.

Police say a suspicious vehicle was observed and further investigation revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Quebec.  Officers were able to stop the vehicle and as a result two occupants were arrested and a quantity of drugs were also located and seized.

As a result of the investigation a 41-year-old Toronto male was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Fail to Comply with Probation X 3
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking -Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking -Opioid (Other than heroin)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000

Further, a 47-year-old Toronto female was also arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine
  • Fail to Comply with Probation
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000

No names were released.

The accused will both appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on May 9th, 2024.
