Argument Over Food Delivery Service Results In Charges

PETERBOROUGH-A 43-year-old Peterborough man, is facing charges after two separate incidents on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Police responded to a domestic occurrence between a man and a woman on Saturday night, February 24. According to police, an argument ensued over a food delivery service and the man reportedly assaulted the woman, resulting in minor injuries. The man was later released on an undertaking with conditions not to have any further contact with the woman. Police say on Sunday morning, February 25, 2024, the man breached the no-contact order and contacted the woman.

As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with Failure to Comply with Undertaking and Assault – Spousal.

The accused has been released on an Undertaking and Appearance Notice and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
