Significant Snowfall Possible Tuesday And Tuesday Night

KAWARTHA LAKES-Significant snowfall with a risk of freezing rain is possible in Kawartha Lakes on Tuesday and Tuesday night according to Environment Canada.

Officials say 10 to 15 cm of snow, with locally higher amounts are possible with a risk of freezing rain.

Hazardous travel conditions are possible Tuesday into Tuesday night. Snow associated with a major winter storm is expected to move into portions of southern Ontario on Tuesday. Snow may be heavy at times with a risk of freezing rain. The snow is expected to change to rain Tuesday night as temperatures rise above the freezing mark. Difficult travel conditions will be likely, particularly later Tuesday and Tuesday night.

Snowfall warnings or winter weather travel advisories may be issued for some regions as this event draws nearer.
