Kawartha Lakes Resident Wins $100,000 With Instant Plinko

KAWARTHA LAKES-Carrie Handley says this is her first major win and she plays the lottery a couple of times a month.

“When I went to purchase the ticket, two of them were stuck together so I figured I’d buy both. I saw I won $100,000 and I couldn’t believe it, I was so shocked,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

The 48-year-old called her partner to share the news right away. “I was hyperventilating. I couldn’t believe it. He was so shocked and happy for me!”

Carrie plans to save for retirement and enjoy some vacations. “I never expected that much money from a $5 ticket,” she concluded.

$5 INSTANT PLINKO combines popular scratch play with prizes revealed in-store by an animated chip drop on the lottery terminal screen and potentially, the chance to drop a chip on a real PLINKO Board at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

The winning ticket was purchased at King’s Minimart on King Street in Bobcaygeon.
