KAWARTHA LAKES-Police say one person has been arrested following a domestic dispute in the Municipality of Trent Lakes.
On December 29, 2023, at approximately 8:00 a.m., members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call reporting a domestic assault.
Peterborough County OPP officers attended and spoke with the complainant. Officers were advised that there was an altercation after the complainant attempted to wake their partner to go to work. The complainant suffered minor injuries.
As a result, a 66-year-old male of Minden Hills, ON., was arrested and charged with assault.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough at a later date.
