Police Looking To Identify Individual In Connection With Residential Fire On Russell Street In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is looking to identify a person in relation to a residential fire in Lindsay over the weekend.

On Sunday, December 17th, 2023 at approximately 2:00 am, the Kawartha Lakes Police Service,  along with Kawartha Lakes Fire and Rescue Services responded to a residential fire on Russell Street East in Lindsay.

When officers arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames. A second home also sustained damage. Two people in the basement escaped and no physical injuries resulted from this incident.

The Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch continues to investigate with the assistance of the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal. 

Anyone in the area of Russell Street East and Simcoe Street who has video surveillance is asked to review video around 2:00am. Any one with information is asked to contact the Kawartha Lakes Police Service at 705-324-5252 or Crime Stoppers online at khcrimestoppers.com or call 1-800-222-8477.
