PETERBOROUGH-A 20-year-old man from the Township of Douro-Dummer is facing drug charges after a traffic stop early Thursday morning in Peterborough.
Police say at approximately 3:00am on December 14, 2023, officers on general patrol noticed some suspicious activity involving two vehicles in the area of McDonnel Street and Reid Street and conducted a vehicle stop.
Officers say they seized:
- Cocaine- 108.9 grams
- Fentanyl- 66.9 grams
- Several types of pills
As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old Township of Douro-Dummer man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs
- Possession of a Schedule II substance – Other drugs
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, December 14, 2023.
