Fenelon Falls Volunteer Firefighter Receives 60 Year Service Medal

KAWARTHA LAKES-John Bailey has been a volunteer firefighter in Fenelon Falls for 62 years and is still active and responding to calls!

On Friday, December 9th Bailey received his provincial 60-year service medal and certificate from Fire Chief Terry Jones.

Officials say the award took some planning as the province had never had a volunteer firefighter achieve this milestone before.

“Our members are very proud of what John has achieved!” said the  Kawartha Lakes Volunteer Firefighters Association.

Congratulations John and thank you for your service.
