PETERBOROUGH-Skaters are needed to help create the world’s longest Conga line on skates along the historic Peterborough Lift Lock canal in February.
The event is organized by Runner’s Life in Peterborough and is open to skaters of all abilities.
“The current record is 595 and I think we can easily surpass that with so much enthusiasm for skating in our community,” says Dave Dame, owner of Runner’s Life and event organizer.
Not only are they competing for bragging rights they are also taking donations to help others as well.
For every participating skater, Runner’s Life Ltd will donate $1 to the ComPassion Project (https://compassionptbo.ca up to $1,000. Music and hot chocolate will be provided and those looking to rent skates for the event can contact Runner’s Life at 705-876-8960.
It’s Free! Just show up on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m, bring a friend and hopefully be part of history!
