The Grove Theatre In Fenelon Falls Announces 2024 Season Of Excitement Under The Stars

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Grove Theatre in Fenelon Falls has announced a summer filled with enchantment as part of the 2024 Season.

The season starts with the magic of Broadway under the stars as The Grove presents the musical “Into The Woods,” set in their breathtaking outdoor amphitheatre surrounded by nature’s beauty.

The season also features a dynamic Tribute Concert Series, featuring the timeless hits of Elton John, Dolly Parton, Carole King, and ABBA. Each Tribute will be unlike any tribute show you’ve seen before, featuring their very own company of actors from “Into the Woods”. Nights at The Grove will guarantee non-stop energy and infectious tunes that will have you dancing beneath the open sky.

Building on the repertory season of 2023, “Into the Woods” and all four Tribute shows will feature a talented ensemble of 10 actors, bringing together artists from across Canada. With all cast and production members relocating to Fenelon Falls for the summer, this is The Grove’s largest season yet.

“We are delighted to present ‘Into the Woods’ as the Mainstage production of the 2024 season” say Co-Artistic Directors, Christy Yael and Sean Cox. “This is one of the most popular musicals of our time, and we are eager to bring its magic to our audiences. It sets the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable season filled with exceptional performances and theatrical experiences.”

Back on The Grove’s stage, the incomparable Jim Cuddy makes a triumphant return alongside a lineup of eight additional Guest Artists to be announced in spring 2024, including Grove favourites and sensational new performers. It’s an exciting blend of familiar faces and fresh talent, promising unforgettable moments.

As part of the 2024 Season, The Grove introduced a Summer Drama Camp—four weeks of fun crafted for kids to explore creativity and play. This for children of all abilities, aged 5 to 15 to shine and create memories that will last a lifetime. The Grove Theatre Camp promises an unforgettable experience filled with creativity, camaraderie, and personal growth.

The Grove Theatre Camp is built upon the foundation of inclusivity, where children are encouraged to embrace their true selves and explore the world of theatre. Through experienced and passionate instructors, campers embark on a journey of self-discovery, artistic exploration, and skill-building in a supportive and nurturing environment.

“Our camp is a space where children not only learn about theatre but also develop essential life skills” says Yael.

A highlight of the Theatre Camp experience is the showcase performance, allowing campers to share their achievements on stage. This empowers them with a sense of accomplishment and pride that extends beyond the theatre, boosting their confidence and self-esteem.

More information, including: price, time, location and registration will be available in early 2024. Join The Grove Theatre’s education mailing list to receive updates about Drama Camp 2024!
