ROPE Squad Looking For Repeat Offender For The Second Time In Less Than A Year

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant as a result of his breach of Statutory Release.

Michael Stamatakos is described as a Caucasian male, 31 years of age, 5’5″ (165cm),  110 lbs (50 kgs) with a shaved head and brown eyes. He has several tattoos covering most of his face, consisting of heart and teardrop and stitch trail on his left cheek, stitch trail on his right cheek, “SD KEYZ” on his right calf, “THE WORLD IS MINE” on his left hand, “SPARTON” on the right side of his neck to name a few.

He is currently serving a two (2) year sentence for Arson-Damage to Property, Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance, Flight from Peace Officer, Utter Threat to Cause Death/Harm and Possession of a Schedule I Substance.

The offender is known to frequent areas in Toronto.

This is the second time OPP has been looking for him. Police also issued a Canada-wide search warrant for Stamatakos in February 2023. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) told CTV News that Stamatakos visited the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton on March 16. A nurse recognized him and called the police.
