UPDATE: The Pedestrian Has Succumed To His Injuries- Part Of Highway 115 Closed After Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle

UPDATE: The highway has reopened. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries.

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP and emergency crews are currently at the scene of a serious collision on the southbound lanes of Highway 115 between The Parkway and Airport Road. The collision was reported at approximately 12:20pm and involved a pedestrian and a commercial motor vehicle. Police say the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where the 32-year-old male was later pronounced deceased.

Southbound traffic continues to be diverted off Highway 115 at The Parkway and traffic can get back on at Airport Road. Please remain away from the area.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Highway 115 southbound lanes remain closed between The Parkway and Airport Road while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene.
