KAWARTHA LAKES-A 58-year-old Woodville man is facing charges after allegedly driving past road closure barricades on Sunday night.
City of Kawartha Lakes OPP arrested a driver after he was stopped for driving past the road closure barricades at the scene of a serious collision last evening.
Shortly before midnight on September 17, 2023 officers stopped a vehicle on County Road 46 in Mariposa Township which had proceeded past a road closure sign.
The accused was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
The accused driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on October 12, 2023. The vehicle was also impounded for 7 days.
