PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP is investigating a single all-terrain-vehicle (ATV) collision in the Municipality of Trent Lakes that resulted in the driver being sent to hospital with life-altering/threatening injuries.

On September 15, 2023, at approximately 5:30 pm, Peterborough County OPP received a call advising of a 49-year-old male who had been involved in a collision while riding his ATV on Bass Lake Road and the connecting trails. The male was separated from two others he was riding with and was later found laying beside his ATV by an unrelated party according to police.

Poilice say the male sustained life-altering/threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Due to the nature of his injuries, he was later airlifted by ORNGE Air to a trauma centre.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, has surveillance video, or has dash-cam footage from this date/time on Bass Lake Road who has not spoken with Police is asked to contact the Peterborough County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
